Directions: (This project can be done individually or with your family. Make sure you ask an adult for permission to use the ingredients before you do the project.)
Step 1: Watch the video link above on Ms. Rowland.
Step 2: Set up your supplies.
Step 3: Pour water into the bowl
Step 4: Then add the salt.
Step 5: Then add the flour. Mix all the ingredients together. Make sure to scrape the side of the bowl to get all of the ingredients mixed in.
Step 6: Once the ingredients are all mixed together, place half of it into a sealed plastic bag or container. Make sure it's sealed very tight so air cannot get in. Save it for the week 8 art project.
Step 7: With the extra clay, you can make anything you'd like to. You can even experiment adding color to the clay with either food coloring or liquid watercolor paint I showed you how to make from dried up markers.

Week 7: Alternative Art Project:
Still-Life Drawing
(If you don't have the materials for doing the week 7 video lesson, you can do this project instead.)
You can create this using paper and any drawing materials or you can use any digital drawing program or app of your choice. For the project, create a drawing of an object (keep it simple when choosing your object: cup, vase, fruit, or stack of books) in your home. Create a contour line sketch of it. Then add color. If you'd like, you can add a background. Be creative with it and have fun!
